About Southpaw

Granate Sosnoff launched Southpaw in 1999 (with a heavy assist by Jennifer Elias, MPH). Over the years Leanne Petti and Marci Peters have been go-to creative directors with a host of other amazing and talented people. Sosnoff works with a variety of consultants and groups to match up a client’s needs with the right team.

More on Granate:

I’ve assisted clients with tangible successes using communications and marketing to impact policy and educate target audiences. (Please see client list below). Starting as a senior account executive at Public Media Center, the first advertising agency to partner exclusively with advocacy and social change organizations where I worked with a range of organizations including environmental groups like Earth Island Institute and the Brower Institute, the Ford Foundation’s Faith & AIDS initiative, Asian Immigrant Women Advocates, and many others. I also worked on ballot initiative campaigns sponsored by the California Nurses Association and Ralph Nader’s Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights.

In 1999 I founded Southpaw to do things a bit differently and started creating a body of work more reflective of the dynamic relationship of a great idea and a stunning visual to get a point across. In-depth research and client partnership has helped us create memorable campaigns that shift perceptions, change behaviors, and ultimately move a social justice agenda forward.
